وَجَدتُكَ مِن قَيسٍ إِذا القَومُ حَصَّلوا

وَجَدتُكَ مِن قَيسٍ إِذا القَومُ حَصَّلوا

مَكانَ نياطِ القَلبِ بَينَ الأَضالِعِ

I found you among Qays, when the people took stock,

I found you to be like Qays, when people come together,

In the place of the heart’s suspending cord between the ribs.
