حَوائِمُ في عَينِ النَعيمِ كَأَنَّما

حَوائِمُ في عَينِ النَعيمِ كَأَنَّما

رَأَينا بِهِنَّ العينَ مِن وَحشِ صَوَّرا

رَأَينا بِهِنَّ العينَ مِن وَحشِ صَوَّرا

Circling at the spring of al-Naʿīm, as though

As if the pools in the land of bliss

In them we saw the wide-eyed wild beasts of Ṣawwarā.

Had been created before our eyes by a tamer of wild beasts
