The pale camels bore him away from a land of sorrow.

With that sorrow, he seeks a dwelling where he has solace.

Until, when one homeland called him away from another,

And his heart was enamored of both and held in pledge,

He became certain of the first parting,

And a path turned him aside from the course of the other.

So he stayed by neither a visible presence nor a trace,

Nor did either of the two homelands choose him.
