لا تَعقِدَن عُقدَة إِن كُنتَ ناقِضَها

لا تَعقِدَن عُقدَة إِن كُنتَ ناقِضَها

أَلفَيتَها بِكَ مَمنوعاً مَراقيها

أَلفَيتَها بِكَ مَمنوعاً مَراقيها

Do not tie a knot if you are going to undo it.

Don't make a knot if you'll untie it

You found it with its paths of ascent barred to you.

You've found its untying forbidden to you

وَاِجعَل أُمورَك مَردوداً مَصادِرُها

وَاِجعَل أُمورَك مَردوداً مَصادِرُها

إِلى اِختِيارِكَ تَلويها وَتُمضيها

إِلى اِختِيارِكَ تَلويها وَتُمضيها

And let the outcomes of your affairs be referred back

And make your affairs returnable to their sources

To your choice: you bend them and carry them through.

To your choice, twist them and accomplish them
