لاno دارhouse لِلمَرءِfor a person بَعدَafter المَوتdeath يَسكُنُهاhe inhabits it
لا دار لِلمَرءِ بَعدَ المَوت يَسكُنُها
إِلّاexcept الَّتيthe one that كانَhe was قَبلbefore المَوتِdeath يَبنيهاhe builds it
إِلّا الَّتي كانَ قَبل المَوتِ يَبنيها
A person has no house to inhabit after death
No home shelters man after death
Except the one he was building before death.
Except what he built before dying.
فَإِنso if بَناهاhe built it بِخَيرwith goodness فازَsucceeded ساكِنُهاits inhabitant
فَإِن بَناها بِخَير فازَ ساكِنُها
وَإِنand if بَناهاhe built it بشرّwith evil خابfailed بانيهاits builder
وَإِن بَناها بشرّ خاب بانيها
So if he built it with goodness, its inhabitant succeeds;
If he built it with goodness he succeeds,
And if he built it with evil, its builder fails.
If with evil he fails, the builder.
