The Pasha's sons have lost a dear, glorious one,
Who left the tears shed at his loss like crimson dye.
Leaving behind tears like pouring rain for his loss,

A pillar that a storm of fate has demolished -
Alas! Yet his memory has not been brought down.
Alas, but his memory remains undemolished,

And history's scribe sings saying:
Upon the throne, Yusuf is with Jesus, son of Mary.
In heaven with Jesus and Mary is Youssef.
