The beloved left the family of Fayyad in sorrow.

Souls melted with their anguished longing for him.

A noble man for whom noble virtues and piety lament,

In grief, as does every virtue that never fades.

He has come to rest in this tomb, while his soul

Has its home on high, in the holiest abode.

For indeed he has come to rest—record the date—in the finest pasture,

Where the beloved and Butrus have come together.
