يا نائياً عَني حُرمتُ وَصالَهُ

يا نائياً عَني حُرمتُ وَصالَهُ

بِاللَهِ قُل كَيفَ السَبيلُ إِلى اللِّقا

بِاللَهِ قُل كَيفَ السَبيلُ إِلى اللِّقا

O you far from me, I have been denied union with you.

O you who are far from me, deprived of union

By God, tell me: what is the way to reunion?

For God's sake, tell me how to reach you

إِن كانَ أَجرُ العاشِقينَ بِصَبرِهم

إِن كانَ أَجرُ العاشِقينَ بِصَبرِهم

فَأَنا الَّذي صَبري قَضى ولَكَ البَقا

فَأَنا الَّذي صَبري قَضى ولَكَ البَقا

If lovers are rewarded for their patience,

If the reward of lovers is in their patience

Then I am the one whose patience has died—and may you live on.

Then my patience is spent, and you remain
