بَنِيO sons of غنَّاجةٍGhannajah بُشرىglad tidings بنجلٍof a son
بَنِي غنَّاجةٍ بُشرى بنجلٍ
بِهِthrough him الرَحمنُthe All-Merciful قَدindeed سَرَّgladdened النُفوساthe souls
بِهِ الرَحمنُ قَد سَرَّ النُفوسا
O sons of Ghannajah, glad tidings of a son!
Through him the All-Merciful has gladdened souls.
رَسولُa messenger of هَناًjoy لَقَدindeed وافىarrived فَطابَتand so became delightful
رَسولُ هَناً لَقَد وافى فَطابَت
بَشائرُglad tidings وَفدِهِhis arrival فيin آلِthe family of عِيسىIsa
بَشائرُ وَفدِهِ في آلِ عِيسى
A messenger of joy has indeed arrived, and delightful were
the glad tidings of his arrival in the house of Isa.
وَحَلَّand he alighted مُؤرِّخاًmarking the date فيin خَيرِthe finest ربعٍabode
وَحَلَّ مُؤرِّخاً في خَيرِ ربعٍ
تَجلَّىshone forth فيهِin it ايلياElijah وَموسىand Moses
تَجلَّى فيهِ ايليا وَموسى
And he alighted, marking the date, in the finest abode,
where Elijah and Moses shone forth.
