ناح ابنُ بولادٍ نقولا عِندَما

خَطَفَت قرينَتَهُ المَنايا الظالِمةْ

حُرَقاً تؤجِّجُها الدُموعُ الساجِمةْ

She departed in haste and left behind her

And departed in haste, leaving behind

Burning sorrows that streaming tears inflame.

مَحمودةُ الأَخلاقِ عاشَت بِالتُقى

مَحمودةُ الأَخلاقِ عاشَت بِالتُقى

وَبِصَبرِها فازَت بِحُسنِ الخاتِمهْ

Praiseworthy in character, she lived in piety,

Virtuous in morals, she lived devoutly

And through her patience attained a good end.
