ليهنِكَ ما وافاكَ مِن فَيضِ نعمةٍ

ليهنِكَ ما وافاكَ مِن فَيضِ نعمةٍ

أَتَتكَ فَحَلَّت مِنكَ خَير مَكانِ

أَتَتكَ فَحَلَّت مِنكَ خَير مَكانِ

May the outpouring of favor that has reached you bring you joy;

it came to you and found in you the finest home.

وِسامٌ هُوَ الحليُ البَديعُ بَدا عَلى

وِسامٌ هُوَ الحليُ البَديعُ بَدا عَلى

عَقائلَ فضلٍ في عُلاكَ حِسانِ

عَقائلَ فضلٍ في عُلاكَ حِسانِ

A medal—the wondrous adornment—has appeared upon

the fair noblewomen of merit in your exalted station.

حَباكَ بِهِ عَبدُ الحَميدِ وَإِنَّهُ

حَباكَ بِهِ عَبدُ الحَميدِ وَإِنَّهُ

أَجلُّ حَباءً مِن أَجلِّ بَنانِ

أَجلُّ حَباءً مِن أَجلِّ بَنانِ

Abd al-Hamid bestowed it on you, and it is indeed

the noblest gift from the noblest fingers.

جَزاكَ جَميلاً عَن جَميلِ صَنائعٌ

جَزاكَ جَميلاً عَن جَميلِ صَنائعٌ

عَلى حُسنِها يُثني بِكُلِّ لِسانِ

عَلى حُسنِها يُثني بِكُلِّ لِسانِ

He repaid you with kindness for your fine deeds,

whose beauty is praised in every tongue.

فَقَد طالَما رُضتَ الفَضائلَ وَاِنَبرت

فَقَد طالَما رُضتَ الفَضائلَ وَاِنَبرت

لَتَعزيزِ شَأنِ العلمِ مِنكَ يَدانِ

لَتَعزيزِ شَأنِ العلمِ مِنكَ يَدانِ

For long have you cultivated virtues, and forth have come

your two hands to enhance the standing of learning.

لذا نِلتَ بالاحسانِ تاريخَ بِرِّهِ

لذا نِلتَ بالاحسانِ تاريخَ بِرِّهِ

فَأَولاكَ بِالنيشانِ رفعةَ شانِ

فَأَولاكَ بِالنيشانِ رفعةَ شانِ

Thus, through good deeds, you earned this chronogram of his favor:

and so, with the decoration, he granted you exalted standing.
