أبداً إلى بحر بلا عبر
Onward it runs in its headlong fury,
The past flows on its passions
Forever toward a shoreless sea.
Forever to a sea without a shore

متزاحم كتزاحم الشعر
Rippling, nothing can reckon it,
Glistening, nothing can stop it
Jostling like the jostling of verse;
Crowding like the crowding of poetry

Laughing, flowing smoothly, and at times
Laughing smoothly and gently
Leaping from a sudden impulse of evil.
Leaping from the whim of evil

Resounding, it has a melody that recalls to us

The whisper of hopes in life's bloom;
Of the whispers of wishes in the bloom of life

The thunder of hell raging with ember

Plunging its rider to the sea

Until Time tires of its cycle,
Until the ages tire of their cycles
And the eye of the sun and the full moon sleeps.
And the eyes of sun and moon fall asleep

From it and from the desolate sea of death.
From it and from the barren sea of loss
