أبحرَ سماحٍ مدَّ عشرة أبحر

أبحرَ سماحٍ مدَّ عشرة أبحر

تفيض غمام الجود وهي الأناملُ

تفيض غمام الجود وهي الأناملُ

O sea of generosity, stretch forth ten seas,

You have sailed ten seas of generosity

That pour forth clouds of bounty—they are your fingertips.

Clouds of kindness overflow from your fingers

بكفِّك غيث للبلاد وأهلها

بكفِّك غيث للبلاد وأهلها

يُروَّض مَحلَ الأرض والعام ماحلُ

يُروَّض مَحلَ الأرض والعام ماحلُ

In your palm is rain for the lands and their people;

With your palm, rain for the country and its people

The earth’s drought is tamed, though the year is parched.

Cultivating the abode of earth, and time smiles

لك الخير أن أصبحت بحر سماحةٍ

لك الخير أن أصبحت بحر سماحةٍ

يعمُّ نداه فالمواهب ساحلُ

يعمُّ نداه فالمواهب ساحلُ

May goodness be yours, for you have become a sea of generosity,

Goodness to you for becoming a sea of generosity

Its bounty reaches all, and gifts are its shore.

Its sympathy spreads so gifts are shores

خلعتَ على هذا الرسول ملابساً

خلعتَ على هذا الرسول ملابساً

بها تتسنّى في عُلاكَ المآملُ

بها تتسنّى في عُلاكَ المآملُ

You bestowed garments upon this messenger,

You have robed this messenger in garments

Through them, hopes find fulfillment in your greatness.

Through which he is eased in your supreme hopes

وبلَّغتَه آمالَه كيف شاءها

وبلَّغتَه آمالَه كيف شاءها

فَبُلِّغْتَ يا مولايَ ما أنت آملْ

فَبُلِّغْتَ يا مولايَ ما أنت آملْ

And you fulfilled his hopes just as he wished them;

And you have delivered to him his hopes as he wished

So may you be granted, O my lord, whatever you hope for.

So you have delivered, my master, what you hoped
