مَنwhoever يَتَمwishes (first fragment) َنّىwishes (second fragment) العُمرَlife فليدرعthen let him armor himself
مَن يَتَم َنّى العُمرَ فليدرع
صَبراًpatience علىat ففدloss (apparent typo for فقد) أحبائهِhis loved ones
صَبراً على ففد أحبائهِ
Whoever wishes for long life, let him armor himself
With patience at the loss of his loved ones.
ومنand whoever يُعمرis granted long life يلقَwill encounter فيin نفسهِhimself
ومن يُعمر يلقَ في نفسهِ
ماwhat يَتمناهُhe wishes for it لأعدائهِfor his enemies
ما يَتمناهُ لأعدائهِ
And whoever lives long will experience in himself
What he wishes upon his enemies.
