The noble man is faithful by nature,
The generous is imprinted with faithfulness
and generous in his friendship.
And with preferring his brethren

قَcompletes الصديق: the friend عَنfrom التَعرُضِmaking an approach لاقتِضائِهto claim what is due from him
His care spares the friend
His care suffices the bosom friend
from having to approach him to claim what is due.
From exposing his needs

The noble man's sense of shame suffices;
The generous's modesty suffices him
so leave the noble man to his sense of shame.
So the generous is predisposed to modesty
