والتواضع والخمول

والتواضع والخمول

The adornment of knowledge is action,

Knowledge's adornment is deed

and humility and obscurity,

And humility and tranquility

والزهاده في الذي

والزهاده في الذي

للفنا يرجع يؤل

للفنا يرجع يؤل

and renunciation of whatever

And asceticism in what

returns and ultimately comes to nothing;

To perish will return to null

واعتزال للورى

واعتزال للورى

مع ترك للفضول

مع ترك للفضول

and withdrawal from humankind,

And seclusion from society

with the abandonment of needless things;

With leaving curiosity

والتعلق بالكريم

والتعلق بالكريم

ربنا البر الوصول

ربنا البر الوصول

and attachment to the Generous One,

And holding to the Generous

our Lord, the Benevolent, the ever-bountiful.

Our Lord, piety is the access

إن أردت أن تعيش

إن أردت أن تعيش

في نعيم لا يزول

في نعيم لا يزول

If you wish to live

If you want to live

in bliss that never ceases,

In bliss that will not depart

ثم تبعث في أمان

ثم تبعث في أمان

ولك الجنة حلول

ولك الجنة حلول

then be raised in safety,

Then you will be resurrected safely

and have a dwelling in Paradise,

And for you is Paradise's arrival

فاذكر الله دواما

فاذكر الله دواما

لا تكن عبدا غفول

لا تكن عبدا غفول

then remember God always;

So remember God always

do not be a heedless servant.

Do not be an unaware slave

إن ذكر الله خير ما اقتنى المرء

إن ذكر الله خير ما اقتنى المرء

ما اقتناه أهل العقول

ما اقتناه أهل العقول

Indeed, remembrance of God is the best a person can acquire—

Indeed remembrance of God is the best that a person attained

what people of understanding have acquired.

What the people of intellect attained

واتق الله وكن

واتق الله وكن

تابعا طه الرسول

تابعا طه الرسول

And fear God, and be

And fear God and be

a follower of Taha, the Messenger,

A follower of the immaculate Prophet

في الفعال والتروك

في الفعال والتروك

والمقاصد والمقول

والمقاصد والمقول

in deeds and abstentions,

In deeds and abstinence

and in intentions and speech.

And intents and words

رب وفقنا لما

رب وفقنا لما

ترتضي عند القفول

ترتضي عند القفول

Lord, grant us success in what

Lord, enable us for what

pleases You at our return.

You are pleased with at the return

واعف واغفر ذنبنا

واعف واغفر ذنبنا

واكفنا كل مهول

واكفنا كل مهول

And pardon us and forgive our sin,

And pardon and forgive our sin

and shield us from every terror.

And suffice us from every terror

والصلاة والسلام على الشافع

والصلاة والسلام على الشافع

كلما سار الحمول

كلما سار الحمول

And may blessings and peace upon the intercessor,

And blessings and peace be upon the Intercessor

whenever the laden camels journey,

Whenever the processions pass

يغشيان أحمدا

يغشيان أحمدا

وكذا الآل الفحول

وكذا الآل الفحول

envelop Ahmad,

Covering Ahmed

and likewise his illustrious family.

And his pure family
