الحمدلله هادينا سبيل الرشاد

Praise be to God, who guides us along the path of right guidance,

Praise be to God, who guides us along the path of right guidance,

And directs creation to the call toward paths of rectitude,

And guides creation to call others to the paths of righteousness,

بالأمر بالعرف والنهي لكل فساد

بالأمر بالعرف والنهي لكل فساد

فإن ذا الأمر في تركه خراب البلاد

فإن ذا الأمر في تركه خراب البلاد

By commanding what is right and forbidding every corruption.

By enjoining what is right and forbidding all corruption.

For abandoning this duty brings ruin upon the lands,

وعند إهماله يهلك جميع العباد

عاجل وآجل في الدنيا ويوم التناد

And when it is neglected, all people are destroyed—

And when it is neglected, all God's servants perish,

Soon and later, in this world and on the Day of Calling.

فشمروا في تلافيه بكل اجتهاد

بالقول فالوعظ ثم الزجر ثم الجهاد

So gird yourselves to set it right with every diligence:

By speech, then exhortation, then rebuke, then jihad.

ومن عجز فبقلبه من صميم الفؤاد

ومن عجز فبقلبه من صميم الفؤاد

ومن فقد ذا فإيمانه تفاني وباد

ومن فقد ذا فإيمانه تفاني وباد

Whoever is unable, let him oppose it in his heart, from its very core;

And whoever is unable, let him do so in his heart, from its very depths.

And whoever lacks even this—his faith has wasted away and perished.

كذا أتى في حديث المصطفى خير هاد

عليه صلى إلهي كل ما غصن ماد
