يا غربة الدين هل من يرحم الغربا
يقومstands up للهfor God لاnot خوفاout of fear ولاnor رغباout of desire
يقوم لله لا خوفا ولا رغبا
O estrangement of the Faith! Is there anyone who will show mercy to the strangers—
O estrangement of the faith! Is there anyone who shows mercy to the strangers,
who will stand for God, neither out of fear nor desire?
Who stands for God, neither out of fear nor desire?
ففيfor in الحديثthe hadith لهfor him أجرa reward عظيمmighty أتىhas come
ففي الحديث له أجر عظيم أتى
بلrather أجرthe reward of خمسينfifty منكمof you يعنيmeaning الصحباthe Companions
بل أجر خمسين منكم يعني الصحبا
For in the Hadith a mighty reward has come to him:
For in the hadith, a mighty reward is reported for him:
indeed, the reward of fifty of you—meaning the Companions.
Rather, the reward of fifty of you—meaning the Companions.
فهلis there, then محبa lover لدينof the faith of اللهGod ينصرهsupports it
فهل محب لدين الله ينصره
حقاtruly وصدقاand sincerely لوجهfor the sake of اللهGod محتسباseeking God's reward
حقا وصدقا لوجه الله محتسبا
Then is there a lover who will champion God’s faith,
Is there, then, a lover of God's faith who will support it,
truly and sincerely, for God’s sake, seeking His reward;
Truly and sincerely, for God's sake, seeking His reward,
ولاand not يباليpays heed بلومto the reproach of اللائمينthe reproachers لهdirected at him
ولا يبالي بلوم اللائمين له
منfrom أيany شخصperson وإنand even if عابhe finds fault وإنand even if عتباhe reproaches
من أي شخص وإن عاب وإن عتبا
who will not heed the censure of those who blame him,
And not heed the reproach of those who blame him,
from any person—even if that person faults him, even if he reproaches him?
From any person, even if he finds fault and even if he reproaches?
