لى وَلا يسلى لِفَقد الدَفاتر

لى وَلا يسلى لِفَقد الدَفاتر

If time bereaves a man of his dear friend, he finds

When fate afflicts a man by taking his friend away

consolation, but is not consoled for the loss of books.

He finds no comfort, nor consolation for the loss of companionship
