And a wine—no one seeks from his Lord,
A goblet whose like no one hopes anymore to gain from their Lord,
once He has granted it to him, anything more in His keeping.
He graced her with it as extra bounty;

And when the mixing water stirs them, they share out
When her mixer excites her, she splits herself up
gold and pearls, paired and single.

And it is as though they wore that as saffron-dyed robes,
And 'tis as though they donned for the sake of adornment
and made this into necklaces for their throats.
Those shapes, and made them collars for their necks.
