وَلَيل مثل يَوم الحَشر طولاً
مَنَعَتI was denied بِهِduring it مِنbecause of السَهرsleeplessness القَراراrest

And a night as long as the Day of Judgment,
A night as long as the Day of Resurrection,
In it, I was denied rest by sleeplessness.

وَكدتand I almost أَظُنُّthought فيهِduring it مِنbecause of سُهاديmy sleeplessness

بِأَن اللَه لَم يَخلق نَهارا
And in it, from my sleeplessness, I almost thought
I almost believed my drowsiness
That God had not created daytime.
