wine, giving not even a sip.

Rest, so you are not generous with a sip.

قد أتى العيد وصحوي

فيه يا مولاي بدعه

The feast has come, and my sobriety

The holiday has come and I am

during it, my lord, is a heresy.

Awake in it, my master, with a new wish.

أملي فيك قريبٌ

ليس فيه لي منعه

ليس فيه لي منعه

My hope in you is within reach;

My hope in you is near

there is no hindrance in it for me:

With nothing to prevent it for me.

شربةٌ من خمرك الصا

شربةٌ من خمرك الصا

في ومن ندك قطعه

في ومن ندك قطعه

a draught of your clear wine,

A drink of your pure wine

and a piece of your nadd incense.

And a morsel from your hand.

ينبذ الحبُّ فيستنف

ده الشعر برقعه

Grain is brewed, then exhausted

Love pours it out, so poetry takes
