ياO منyou who جعلواmade وصالهمtheir companionship ليfor me زاداsustenance
يا من جعلوا وصالهم لي زادا
الشوقlonging إلىfor حماكمyour sanctuary بيwithin me زاداincreased
الشوق إلى حماكم بي زادا
O those who made their communion my provision,
O you who made your companionship my sustenance,
Longing for your sanctuary has grown within me.
Longing for your sanctuary has grown within me.
لمَwhy لاnot وبحيّكمand in your quarter رسولthe Messenger اللَهof God
لمَ لا وبحيّكم رسول اللَه
منwho عادbestowed بجودهwith his bounty علىupon مَنthose who عاداshowed hostility
من عاد بجوده على مَن عادا
Why should it not, when in your quarter dwells God’s Messenger—
Why not, when in your quarter is God's Messenger,
he who bestowed his bounty even upon whoever showed hostility.
Who bestowed his bounty upon those who opposed him.
