أَيها النَّاسُ واصِلُوا مَنْ أَرَدْتُم

أَيها النَّاسُ واصِلُوا مَنْ أَرَدْتُم

وذرُوا قاسِماً ولا تقْربُوهُ

وذرُوا قاسِماً ولا تقْربُوهُ

O people, maintain ties with whomever you wish;

O people, keep in touch with whomever you wish,

and leave Qasim alone, and do not approach him.

And leave Qasim alone, do not go near him,

أَنا أُكْنى بقاسِمٍ ولهذا

أَنا أُكْنى بقاسِمٍ ولهذا

صِرتُ أَولى به لأَنِّي أَبوهُ

صِرتُ أَولى به لأَنِّي أَبوهُ

I am called 'father of Qasim,' and for this reason

I am nicknamed Qasim and that is why,

I have a greater claim to him, because I am his father.

I have become more deserving of him because I am his father.
