عليٌّAli وعثمانٌand Uthman أَبُوهُhis father وجدُّهand his grandfather
عليٌّ وعثمانٌ أَبُوهُ وجدُّه
عَلىaccording to قولِهhis claim حَاشاfar be it from عليّاًAli وعُثْماناand Uthman
عَلى قولِه حَاشا عليّاً وعُثْمانا
Ali and Uthman are his father and grandfather,
according to him—far be it from Ali and Uthman!
فإِنfor if سَرقُواthey have stolen أَسماءَnames الكرامِthe noble فربَّماthen sometimes
فإِن سَرقُوا أَسماءَ الكرامِ فربَّما
رأَيْناwe have seen يَهودِياًa Jew يُسمَّىis named سُليماناSulayman
رأَيْنا يَهودِياً يُسمَّى سُليمانا
For if they have stolen the names of the noble, then sometimes
we have seen a Jew named Sulayman.
