ضَاحِكَاتُ الكِمَام
Weeping clouds,
The weeping clouds,
Smiling buds,
The laughing veils,
وَهُبُوبُand the stirring of التَّنَسُّمِthe gentle breeze
وَهُبُوبُ التَّنَسُّمِ

مَع ساجِعَاتِ الحَمَام
And the stirring of the breeze,
The blowing breezes,
With the cooing doves.
With the moaning doves,

بِأَبَارِيقَ رُكَّع
مُستَقبِلاَتِfacing الكُؤُوسthe cups
مُستَقبِلاَتِ الكُؤُوس
With ewers bowing,
And the kneeling jugs,
Facing the cups,
Welcoming the cups,

سَاجِدَاتٍ وَتُرفَع

نَحوَ السَّمَا بالرّؤُوس
Prostrate, and raised,
Bowing and raised
With their heads toward the sky.
Towards the sky with heads,

And something more wondrous than that:
And something of that more wondrous,
A full moon shining like suns,
A full moon shining like suns

Rising in its fullness,
Rising perfectly,
Dispelling the gathering darkness,
Dispelling the wings of darkness,

Like a tender bough,
Like a well-crafted rod,
Swaying among the hillocks.
Shaking among the dunes,

And by the parting of the tresses,
And in the morning light,
And the dawn of that brow,
And that dawn forehead,

وأفسَدَت أمرَ دِينِي
And the creeping of the scorpions—
And scurrying scorpions
And they have ruined my faith—
Have spoiled my faith.

If you had guided me
I would have said, 'Moses is enough for me.'
I would have said Moses is enough for me!

By God, cease your reproach.
For God's sake, shorten blame!
