إذا ما بات من ترب فراشي

إذا ما بات من ترب فراشي

وبتُّ مجاور الرب الكريم

وبتُّ مجاور الرب الكريم

When my bed is made of dust,

If I were to sleep in the earth as my bed

and I spend the night beside the Generous Lord,

And dwell as a neighbor of the Generous Lord

فهنوني أصيحابي وقولوا

فهنوني أصيحابي وقولوا

لك البشرى قدمت على رحيم

لك البشرى قدمت على رحيم

then congratulate me, my dear companions, and say:

Then give me glad tidings, my friends, and say:

“Glad tidings to you: you have come to a Merciful One.”

"You have come to the Merciful with welcome steps."
