وحق نصف اسمه الأخير لقد

وحق نصف اسمه الأخير لقد

كنت له قديماً كأوله

I have long been to him like its first half.

شكري فتوهي قوى محمله

Do not grant me of your bounty beyond the reach

Do not reject me from your help beyond the extent

Of my gratitude, lest you sap its bearer's strength.

Of my thanks, so you weaken the strength it carries
