أُناشِدُهُ الرحمنَ في جمع شَملِنَا

أُناشِدُهُ الرحمنَ في جمع شَملِنَا

فيقسِمُ هذا لا يكونُ الى الحَشْرِ

فيقسِمُ هذا لا يكونُ الى الحَشْرِ

I implore him by the Most Merciful to reunite us;

So he swears, “This will not happen until the Resurrection.”

اذا ما غدا مثلَ الحديدِ فؤادُهُ

اذا ما غدا مثلَ الحديدِ فؤادُهُ

فوالعصر انَّ الاشقينَ لفي خُسْرِ

فوالعصر انَّ الاشقينَ لفي خُسْرِ

If his heart has become like iron,

Then, by Time, the most wretched are surely in loss.
