1. لي من نصيبِ هواكِ سهمٌ وافرٌ

    وسِهامُ سِحرٍ من جفونكِ رشَّقُ

    An ample share of your love is mine,

    And from your eyelids come slender arrows of enchantment.

  2. ورزقتُ من جفنيكِ ما حسدَ الورى

    رزْقي عليهِ وهو رزقٌ ضَيّقُ

    And from your two eyelids I was granted what made all people envy

    My share of it, though it is a scant provision.
