Salute the dwellings on the heights of Jayrun,
Greetings to the abodes in lofty Jirun,
Where passion alights, and the haunts of shy, wide-eyed maidens.
The passion of passions, and the darling of my eyes.

When my passion inclined me, my hands guided
The reins of pleasure in those open fields.
The reins of desire in those meadows.

Alas! The fragrance of the mornings of spring in it
And the cool breaths of the Tishrin evenings!
And the coolness of the breaths of the Tashreen breeze.

Hermel, and most splendid are my travels in Srifine.

Alas, the riverbank's companion has strayed far from a green retreat,
Far from the banks of the winding river is green
Where he sings, and the garden birds accompany him.
Gladdened and made joyful by the birds of the gardens.

Away from the ambergris dew on the fragrant herbs' temples.

Has set it moving in the twin orbits of might and firm dominion.
In the orbits of power and enablement.
