إِلى جامِعٍ مِثلُ النَعامَةِ يَلتَقي

كَذلِكَ يُقري الشَوكَ مالَم تُرَدِّدِ

كَذلِكَ يُقري الشَوكَ مالَم تُرَدِّدِ

To Jāmiʿ—like an ostrich, he comes to meet;

To a collector like the ostrich it meets

Thus he serves thorns, unless you send them back.

Thus it feeds the thorns unless you repeat
