أَلَم تَرى قَوماً يَنكِحونَ بِمالِهِم

أَلَم تَرى قَوماً يَنكِحونَ بِمالِهِم

وَلَو خَطَبَت أَنسابُهُم لَم تُزَوَّجِ

وَلَو خَطَبَت أَنسابُهُم لَم تُزَوَّجِ

Have you not seen people who marry through their wealth,

Do you not see a people marrying with their wealth

Yet if their lineages proposed marriage, they would not be wed?

Yet if their lineages were to propose, they would not be wed
