By your life, I am lodging at Uyayir,
By your life, I indeed have pitched my tents in Uyayna,
at Saw'ar, yearning, though I am honored.
Yearning for you as if awake though honored guests slumber.
أَبيتُI spend the night كَأَنّيas though I أَرمَدُsore-eyed العَينِthe eye ساهِرٌawake

I spend the night awake, as though my eye were inflamed,
I remain as though sleepless though my companions sleep at night,
when my companions spend the night asleep.
When honored guests have fallen asleep through the night.
