صَحَّ عَن جوده حَديثُ العَطايا

مُستَفيضاً ما بين بادٍ وقارِ

مُستَفيضاً ما بين بادٍ وقارِ

The report of gifts from his generosity proved authentic,

The gifts speak truly of his generosity,

widely transmitted among nomad and settled dweller.

Abundantly flowing between dignity and nobility.

كَم رجاءٍ فيه رَوى عَن وَفاءٍ

كَم رجاءٍ فيه رَوى عَن وَفاءٍ

عَن عَطاءٍ عن واصِل عن يَسارِ

عَن عَطاءٍ عن واصِل عن يَسارِ

How many a hope in him has narrated from Wafāʾ (Fulfillment),

How many hopes in it are told of loyalty,

from ʿAṭāʾ (Giving), from Wāṣil (the Benefactor), from Yasār (Prosperity).

Of gifts, of connection, of ample means.
