  1. أيا من حاز ملك الحسن طرا

    ورنح لين عطفيه الشباب

    O you who have gained beauty’s kingdom in its entirety,

    And whose supple flanks youth has set swaying,

  2. أما في مال ردفك من زكاة

    فيدخل فيه لي هذا النصاب

    Is there no alms due on the wealth of your rump,

    So that this hilt of mine might enter it?
