من حسنك الباهي عليها خفر

May this robe of honor bring you joy, O crown of eminence;

من فلك الأزرار قد اطلعت

شمسا وبدر انتم منها ظهر

شمسا وبدر انتم منها ظهر

From the sphere of its buttons it has brought forth

a sun; and a full moon—you—has appeared from it.

وقد غدا السعد لها ناظراً

لما بدا الطالع فيها القمر

And good fortune has turned its gaze toward it,

when the moon appeared within it as the ascendant.
