أنا قاصم الأعداء في يوم الوغى

ومجندل الفرسان عند طعان

I am the crusher of enemies on the day of battle,

I am the breaker of foes on the day of battle,

And the feller of horsemen in lance combat.

And the gatherer of horsemen at the spear's thrusting.

وإذا تكنت في الحروب هلالها

وإذا تكنت في الحروب هلالها

وتطاولت ناديت يا لسنان

وتطاولت ناديت يا لسنان

And if their crescent takes a byname in battle [reading uncertain],

And when wars form into crescents,

And rises high, I call, 'To the rescue, Sinan!'

And grow long, I cry "O spear!"
