Sol 6.1

  1. هو الدَّهرُ لا يُبقِي عَلى لائذٍ بهِ

    فَمَنْ شاءَ عَيْشاً يَصطَبِرْ لِنَوائِبِهْ

    Such is Time: it spares no one who seeks refuge in it.

    So whoever desires life must patiently endure its calamities.

  2. فَمَنْ لم يُصَب في نَفسِهِ فَمُصابُهُ

    بِفَوْتِ أمانِيهِ وفَقْدِ حَبائِبِهْ

    For whoever is not stricken in his own person is stricken

    By the frustration of his hopes and the loss of his loved ones.
