أحْرَى ثيابِكَ أنْ تُجَمِّلَهُ

أحْرَى ثيابِكَ أنْ تُجَمِّلَهُ

ثَوْبُ التُّقى فَلباسُهُ شَرَفُ

Of your garments, the one most worthy for you to adorn

The most fitting of your garments to adorn it

is the garment of piety, for wearing it is an honor.

Is the robe of piety, its dress is honor

ثُمَّ اكْسُ جِسْمَكَ ثَوْبَ مُقْتَصِدٍ

ثُمَّ اكْسُ جِسْمَكَ ثَوْبَ مُقْتَصِدٍ

فالدُّرُّ لَيْسَ يُشِيْنُهُ الصَّدَفُ

فالدُّرُّ لَيْسَ يُشِيْنُهُ الصَّدَفُ

Then clothe your body in the garb of a frugal person,

Then clothe your body in the garment of moderation

for a pearl is not marred by its shell.
