ياO قادِمِينَyou who are coming ولوand even if أُعْطِيْI were to give البَشيرَthe bearer of glad tidings بِهمْof them
بَقِيَّةَthe remainder of العُمرِlife ماnot أنْصَفْتُI would have dealt fairly فيin الثَّمنِthe price
O you who come! Even if I gave the bearer of glad tidings of them
the rest of my life, I would not have paid a fair price.
قَدْindeed كُنتُI was أُعِتبُreproaching دَهْرِيmy fate لَوif فَرغتُI had been free لهُfor it
مِنْfrom شاغِلِthe preoccupation of البَيْنِseparation أوor مِنْfrom لاعِجِthe searing pain of الشَّجَنِsorrow
I would indeed have reproached my fate, had I been free
from the cares of separation or the searing pain of sorrow.
أماbut وقَدْand now that قَرَّبَhas brought near الرَّحْمنُthe All-Merciful دارَكُمُyour home
كَماjust as أُحِبُّI wish فلاso there is no عَتْبٌreproach علىagainst الزَّمنِtime
But now that the All-Merciful has brought your home near,
just as I wish, there is no reproach against time.
