خليفة اللهِ أَنتَ حقاً

خليفة اللهِ أَنتَ حقاً

فارقٍ من السّعد خير مرقى

فارقٍ من السّعد خير مرقى

You are truly God’s caliph.

You are truly the caliph of Allah,

So ascend to good fortune’s finest height.

Departing from good fortune is the best ascent.

حميتم الدّين من عِداه

حميتم الدّين من عِداه

وكلِّ من رام فية فتقا

وكلِّ من رام فية فتقا

You have protected the faith from its enemies,

You protected the religion from its enemies,

and everyone who sought to make a breach in it.

And all who sought corruption in it met destruction.

أطلعك الله سرَّ قومٍ

أطلعك الله سرَّ قومٍ

شقوا العصا بالنفاق شقا

شقوا العصا بالنفاق شقا

God revealed to you the secret of a people

May Allah reveal to you the secret of a people,

who split the staff of unity asunder through hypocrisy.

Who split the rod through hypocrisy and deceit.

تَفَلسَفوا وادَّعوا علوماً

تَفَلسَفوا وادَّعوا علوماً

صاحبها في المعادِ يشقى

صاحبها في المعادِ يشقى

They philosophized and laid claim to branches of knowledge

They pretensed philosophy and claimed knowledge,

whose possessor suffers in the hereafter.

But its master in the hereafter will suffer misery.

واحتقروا الشّرعَ وازدروه

واحتقروا الشّرعَ وازدروه

سفاهة منهم وحُمقَا

سفاهة منهم وحُمقَا

And they despised the sacred law and scorned it,

They scorned Islamic law and rejected it,

out of foolishness and stupidity on their part.

Foolishness and stupidity from them.

اوسعتهم لعنةً وخزياً

اوسعتهم لعنةً وخزياً

وقلتَ بعداً لهم وسُحقَا

وقلتَ بعداً لهم وسُحقَا

You overwhelmed them with cursing and disgrace,

May curses and disgrace be widespread upon them,

and said, “Away with them—far away!”

And you said farewell to them and crushed them.

فابقَ لدينِ الاله كهفاً

فابقَ لدينِ الاله كهفاً

فإنه مابقيت يبقى

فإنه مابقيت يبقى

So remain a sheltering cave for God’s faith,

So remain as a cave for the religion of God,

for it will remain as long as you remain.

For as long as you remain, it will endure.
