الحمد لله على نصره

لفرقة الحقِ وأشياعِه

لفرقة الحقِ وأشياعِه

Praise be to God for the victory He granted

Praise be to God for His victory

To the party of truth and its adherents.

For the righteous band and their followers

كان ابنُ رشد في مدى غيه

كان ابنُ رشد في مدى غيه

قد وضعَ الدّين بأوضاعه

قد وضعَ الدّين بأوضاعه

Ibn Rushd, in the course of his error,

Ibn Rushd had gone astray

Had debased religion through his formulations.

Trying to distort the religion

حتى اذا اوضع في طُرقِه

حتى اذا اوضع في طُرقِه

توّى لفيه عند ايضاعه

توّى لفيه عند ايضاعه

Until, when he hastened along his paths—

But once he strayed onto that path

Ruin to his mouth in his haste!

He stumbled at his first step

فالحمدُ لله على اخذه

فالحمدُ لله على اخذه

واخذ من كان اتباعه

واخذ من كان اتباعه

So praise be to God for seizing him,

So praise be to God for seizing him

And seizing those who were his followers.

And seizing those who followed him
