I have become like the heart in the breast;
You have become like gardens in my heart
I guard what I contain like a secret.
I protect what it contains like a secret

In the finest palace, whose courtyard shows you
In the best palace its courtyard shows you
at the sun’s rising, the rising of the full moon.
At sunrise, the rising of the full moon
كأنَّنِيas though I were فيin جِدَارِthe wall of مَجلِسِهِits hall

As though I were, in the wall of its hall,
It's as if I'm in the wall of its chamber
an eye, and my door an eyelid without lashes.
An eye, and my eyelid a door without latch
فلتَدعُso pray يَاO مُبصِرِيyou who behold me لِسَاكِنِهِfor its inhabitant
بِالسَّعدِfor good fortune وَالمُلكِand kingship آخِرَuntil the end of الدَّهرِtime
So pray, O you who behold me, for its inhabitant,
So leave, my witness, the dweller in it
for good fortune and kingship until the end of time.
With fortune and kingdom until the end of time
