وإني لأوثر من أَصطفي

And indeed I favor those I choose,

I prefer the one I have chosen

and overlook the slip of one who stumbles.

And overlook the stumbler's lapse

وأَهوى الزيارةَ ممن اُحبّ

وأَهوى الزيارةَ ممن اُحبّ

لاعتقد الفضلَ للزائر

لاعتقد الفضلَ للزائر

And I love visits from those I love,

And love to visit whom I love

so that I may acknowledge the visitor’s merit.
