للخَوفِ مكشوفٌ بلا سِريالِ
Indeed, he who turned away and fled to save himself
He who flees has abandoned himself
out of fear is exposed, without trousers.
To fear, with no concealment for his soul

The long-necked she-camel is urged on bearing him, while he thinks her,
The cravens challenge him, though he thinks them
in his terror, bound with a hobble.
Frenzied with fear, not reasonable mind

He fled as if his limbs had taken wings
had sped away with her eyes in their haste.
His eyes turning in terror and haste

He rode the north wind, fleeing, while his heart
He rode northwards, his heart aflutter
fluttered like a bough in a north wind.
With the violent gusts from the north wind.
