And a noble, white-stockinged steed, whose coat is like

jet, almost flowing from how brightly it gleams.

His head greets you with the brightest white blaze,

beneath a forelock that bends over it.

And when the forelock flutters away from it, the blaze evokes for us

a moon that vanishes in darkness and is eclipsed.

Brimming with youthful vigor, he seems like

a gazelle fawn, craning toward the faintest sound.
