قوّض خيامَك من أرضٍ تُضَامُ بها

قوّض خيامَك من أرضٍ تُضَامُ بها

وجَانِبِ الذلَّ إن الذلَّ يُجتَنَبُ

وجَانِبِ الذلَّ إن الذلَّ يُجتَنَبُ

Strike your tents and leave a land where you are wronged.

Dismantle your tents from a land that oppresses you

And shun humiliation, for humiliation is to be shunned.

And avoid disgrace, for disgrace must be avoided

وارحَل إذا كانتِ الأَوطَانُ مُنقصَةً

وارحَل إذا كانتِ الأَوطَانُ مُنقصَةً

فَمَندَلُ الهندٍ في أوطانِه حَطَبُ

فَمَندَلُ الهندٍ في أوطانِه حَطَبُ

And depart if your homelands diminish your worth.

Move on if homelands diminish you

For Indian sandalwood is mere firewood in its native lands.

For the palm tree of India is but firewood in its homelands
