جرى قلمُ القضاءِ بما يكونُ

فَسِيَّان التَّحَرُّكُ والسكونُ

فَسِيَّان التَّحَرُّكُ والسكونُ

The pen of fate has written what shall be;

Roamed the pen of fate with what will be

so movement and stillness are alike.

So movement and stillness are the same

جنونٌ منك أن تَسعَى لرزقٍ

جنونٌ منك أن تَسعَى لرزقٍ

ويُرزقُ في غِشَاوتِه الجنينُ

ويُرزقُ في غِشَاوتِه الجنينُ

It is madness for you to strive for sustenance,

Madness in you to strive for sustenance

while the fetus is provided for within its covering.

While the fetus is sustained in its veil
