صَدّق أباك أبا السما

ح فَقَد كَنَاك أبا السَّماح

ح فَقَد كَنَاك أبا السَّماح

Prove your father right, O Abu al-Samah,

for he gave you the epithet Abu al-Samah.

اسمح بمالِك للعُفا

اسمح بمالِك للعُفا

ة وحُرِّ وَجهِكَ للكفاح

ة وحُرِّ وَجهِكَ للكفاح

Offer your wealth freely to supplicants,

and your noble face to close combat.

افعل فإنّك حامدٌ

افعل فإنّك حامدٌ

لسُراكَ في فَلَقِ الصّباح

لسُراكَ في فَلَقِ الصّباح

Do so, for you will be thankful

for your night journey at the break of dawn.
